Here is what we're doing to keep you safe at the barre!
Reduced Class Size and Barrier Installation
We will be following state and local guidelines for class size and spacing. We have consulted with the Dedham Board of Health to ensure that our studio setup exceeds current requirements. To that end, classes will be capped at 7 participants to guarantee a minimum of 14 feet of personal distance between members during class. While not required at 14 foot distances, we have also installed plexiglass barriers between workout stations as extra protection. This spacing and the extra barrier protection will allow clients to remove their masks for workouts, if they choose to do so. Masks must still be worn inside the studio at all times when class is not in session and/or you are off your mat for any reason.
Air Circulation and Quality
We have worked very hard to ensure that the air quality in our studio is as fresh as possible. In addition to keeping all studio doors open during classes, we have installed a Rabbit Air Ultra Quiet Air Purifier in the studio. The air purifier contains a germ defense HEPA filter which traps allergens and germ particles at an efficiency of higher than 99%. We have also installed an air purifying UV light directly into our HVAC system which works to kill bacteria and directly disinfect the air coming through the HVAC ducts. Lastly our HVAC system continuously introduces fresh outside air into the air stream instead of just recirculating the air allowing for clean fresh air before being dispersed into the studio.
Studio and Equipment Sanitization
We will sanitize all equipment and studio surfaces after class to prepare the studio for the next class. Our Force of Nature cleaning system is on the EPA’s list of disinfectants for use against SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19. We are committed to constant and effective sanitization to help keep staff and clients as safe as possible!
No Contact Check-In and Good Health Verification
For in-studio classes, upon entry you will be required to sanitize your hands and read the Health Checklist situated by the door. You will then make your way to our desk where our desk staff will check you in and have you make a verbal confirmation that you are in good health and meet CDC guidelines for COVID non-exposure. You may then enter the studio and find a mat.
Please keep your mask on until class begins!
After class we will exit through the back door and down the side hall to allow for one-way traffic flow and to minimize contact between clients.
Equipment Usage and Class Modifications
To ensure your safety, we will be staging all equipment for you before class. Sanitized mats, weights, and all other equipment needed for class will be set up at your designated station. Let your instructor know if you need something that is not provided as no clients will be allowed to access stored equipment. Additionally, to ensure the safety of all staff members and participants, outside equipment will not be allowed in the studio.
Late Cancellation/No Show and Minimum Participants
Because the number of spots in all classes are limited, we will be enforcing a late cancellation/no show policy. If you have to cancel, please do so by 3pm day of for the evening classes and by 8pm the night before for the morning classes. Your early cancellation will ensure that someone from the waitlist can take your spot. Any cancellations not made within these windows will result in the loss of a class from a class pack or a $10 late cancellation fee and any no shows will be charged a $15 no show fee. Please be considerate of our staff and others by cancelling yourself out of class if you cannot make it!
No walk-in participants will be admitted to class so you must sign up ahead of time to be admitted. If there are less than 2 people signed up for any indoor class 2 hours before class time (or by 8pm the night before for morning classes), the class will be cancelled. Notice of cancellation will be sent via email to anyone signed up for a cancelled class. Help us conserve our resources by signing up for classes you wish to attend and showing up for all enrolled classes!
Temporary Suspension of Amenities
Our restrooms will be available for your use before class. We do ask that, if at all possible, you use the restroom prior to coming to the studio to help avoid lines and waiting for restrooms. We also ask that you come to the studio dressed and ready for class as our changing room will not be available and we ask that you do not change in our restrooms. Additionally, all amenities normally stocked in our restrooms have been temporarily removed for safety reasons.
Our towel service has been suspended so please feel free to bring a hand towel to class as well as a full water bottle as we have also temporarily suspended use of our water dispenser. We will have water for sale at the desk.
